The $150,000 Bed O' Roses Stakes Saturday, June 25 at Belmont Park features a talented group of six fillies and mares set to contest the seven furlong event on the main track. 
Saturday's feature at Belmont is the Grade 3 Poker Stakes, going a flat mile over the main turf course. 
The featured race on Saturday at Churchill Downs is the $500,000 Stephen Foster Handicap. Scheduled to be run at a mile and an eighth on the main track, the Grade 1 has drawn a field of seven colts. 
The interesting thing about the long, grueling Belmont Stakes is that horses that come from the back of the pack rarely win it. 
Besides the Belmont Stakes, there are five other Grade 1 races scheduled for Belmont Park on Saturday afternoon. All post times Eastern. 
There will be no shortage of competition for the Preakness Stakes (G1) winner Exaggerator on Saturday, June 11, for the Belmont Stakes (G1). There is expected to be a field of thirteen for the third jewel of the Triple Crown. 
While Todd Pletcher’s Kentucky Derby struggles have been well-documented over the years, the New York-based trainer has been considerably better in the Belmont Stakes with two wins and four runner-up finishes in the last ten renewals of the race. 
The $100,000 Paradise Creek Stakes, a race carded at seven furlongs for three year-old turf horses May 28 at Belmont, features a field of eight in addition to a pair of runners on the also-eligible list in what shapes up to be a great betting race. 
In what proved to be a much different race than most expected, Exaggerator with jockey Kent Desormeaux won a smart tactical battle.
