On Sunday, Fair Grounds will host the $50,000 Tiffany Lass Stakes. Restricted to fillies and mares, the mile and seventy yard contest has drawn a field of five.

Topping the field as the morning line favorite at odds of 7-5 is Cassatt for trainer Larry Jones. Purchased for $300,000 as a yearling, the gray daughter of top stallion Tapit has won four of her seven career starts. Her most notable victory came in August in the Monmouth Oaks (G3) and she was last seen winning the Zia Park Oaks on the front end after a pair of average performances. Regular rider Kerwin Clark will be aboard and they will break from post two.

Distorted Music making first start against stakes company

Second choice at 5-2 on the morning line is Distorted Music who will be making her first start for trainer Neil Pessin. A four-year-old daughter of Distorted Humor purchased for six figures as a weanling, she will be making her stakes debut and has been on the board in all six career starts, three of which came this year. She was last seen winning an optional claiming race at Churchill Downs as the favorite over four rivals. Robbie Albarado will remain aboard from post three.

Parc Monceau going for third straight victory

Also in the field at morning line odds of 3-1 is Parc Monceau from the barn of Tom Amoss. A four-year-old daughter of Giant’s Causeway purchased for $260,000 by Barry Shwartz, she is trying to earn the first stakes win of her career and has four victories from thirteen starts. She has won her last two races, both optional claiming events, as the heavy favorite. James Graham will be aboard for the first time and they are scheduled to break from the outside.
