Enchanting Lady Trying to Rebound in $150,000 Jersey Girl Stakes
Enchanting Lady tops the field as the morning line favorite at 8-5 for trainer Bob Baffert. A dark bay daughter of Tale of the Cat purchased for $650,000 as a juvenile, she has won two of her five starts. She will be trying to rebound after finishing eighth in the Eight Belles Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs and won a minor stakes race in California prior to that. Martin Garcia will remain aboard and they will break from the outside post.
Cavorting making second start of the year
Second choice at morning line odds of 5-2 is Cavorting for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin. A bay daughter of Bernardini, she was purchased for $260,000 as a yearling by Stonestreet Stables and has won two of her four starts. She has been on the shelf since a ninth-place finish in the Davona Dale (G2) in February in what was her only start this year. Regular rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. will be aboard and they will break from post position five.
Consistent Coco's Wildcat a live longshot
Also in the field at morning line odds of 10-1 on the morning line is Coco’s Wildcat for trainer Kathleen O’Connell. A homebred for Gil Campbell, the bay daughter of Wildcat Heir has been on the board in nine of her ten starts and was a stakes winner as a juvenile. Winless from three starts this year, she was third last time out in the Miss Preakness (G3). Jose Lezcano will be in the irons for the first time and they will break from post two.
